Mystic Mayhem is a series of HIGH OCTANE tournaments with heroes hand-picked from across the cosmos! The tournament is hosted by the beloved Game Maestro, Seraphel the Great. People from far and wide come to watch these games and place bets.
Story, Lore, Mechanics:
The idea is to replay a character you have played before in ANY campaign while still being “cannon.” That way, you can reliably role-play them. How does this work? Well, The Game Maestro is able to rip a hero from their timeline the millisecond before they die. When they are killed in the tournaments, they are put back into their timeline to succumb to their original fate. When you think about it, it’s like they get a second chance at life. Well.. a life forced to fight to the death.. But life nonetheless!
You may be saying, “well my character never died! How can I play them?” In a multiverse full of infinite possibilities, your character died in one of them, trust me. If you play a character who’s technically alive, they will have died during a fight where the dice didn’t roll in your favor or even died in a battle yet to come. You can tell me how you think they died, but I’m also VERY happy to surprise you with something dramatic!
Considering multiverses, get as crazy as you want! Perhaps you play Qin from a steampunk universe. Maybe Willow from a timeline where she aligned herself with the arc mage. What if Inej never left her father, and became his successor to the throne? Have fun with it!
FOR DMS! It could be fun if you want to play an NPC of yours that you’ve embodied often. You’ll just have to build a character sheet for them.
I will do my best to provide dynamic interesting maps, it will not be an empty arena. There should be lots to interact with, so be ready to get creative with your surroundings! Also, the map itself poses its own threats. So don’t be upset if you die from something other than the players.
Technical Information:
Play as any PCs you have played before.
Level them up or down to level _.
You may reselect spells for existing character sheets.
IF you are a DM, feel free to play as an NPC you enjoy. Do not use their stat block. Create a character sheet for them.
Decide when from their life your character was ripped.
Info I need from you:
Tell me about your chosen characters. I want to know what event they are being ripped from.
Does your character have magic items, homebrew rules, or anything that isn't standard? The Game Maestro has the ability to choose what comes with the hero when pulled from their timeline. I can tell you if that magic soup bowl you have is okay to come.

DEATH MATCH
The Crucible of Chaos is a colossal, circular crater carved into the earth. It's walls are jagged and uneven, riddled with volcanic fissures spewing steam and molten rock. The floor is a chaotic mix of warped metal plates, shattered ruins, and patches of scorched earth, remnants of countless past battles. In the center of the arena, a swirling vortex of raw magic churns, its colors ever-shifting and unpredictable.
Beryl. In this AU, Beryl and the gang defeat the archmage and are living out their ideal lives.
Inej. In this AU, Malus joined their group, and Inej studied under him. Qin and Zereethra are also life-swapped in this AU.
Willow. In this AU, Willow became friends with Zerethra, and her innocent, happy-go-lucky nature took a darker, more cutthroat turn. She's now dedicated to hunting down the werewolves of Beryl and Thelgrum.
Yarmon. In this AU, Yarmon was a necromancy wizard, and the arc mage won the Crown of Kings. After escaping with Willow, with whom he fell in love, they had a child named Will. Zerethra hunted them down and killed Willow, causing Yarmon to seek revenge with his son.
Zereethra. From the same AU as Willow, Zerethra took on a bit of an alliance with Willow.
