Phobia

"One cannot be brave who has no fear."

From his earliest memories, Phobia's life had been devoid of any good role models or nurturing influences, paving the way for his descent into a world of chilling malevolent fear.

As a child, Phobia had always been intrigued by the concept that courage was meaningless without fear. The very idea that bravery emerged in the face of terror fascinated him. In a way, Phobia's past was a torment of its own. He was raised in a heartless orphanage and fell victim to the cruelty of a sadistic headmaster who subjected the children to unthinkable experiments. It was during one of these heinous trials that Phobia gained the unnerving ability to sense people's deepest fears, likely a manifestation of his fascination.

It was within these walls that Phobia's affinity for fear blossomed, allowing him to play off it with sinister glee. He reveled in the chilling sparkle that ignited in people's eyes when they were subjected to their darkest terrors. The headmaster, indifferent to the suffering of the children under his care, turned a blind eye to Phobia's actions towards the others, sometimes encouraging his scare tactics. On one occasion, Phobia collected a hive of spiders to lay across a fellow orphan as he slept.

After the orphanage was shut down due to the horrific experimentations being brought to light, Phobia found himself adrift in a world he scarcely understood. It was then that he met Teddessk, a powerful Illithilich who sensed potential in the tormented soul before him. Teddessk offered Phobia a twisted power that would work in tandem with knowing one's fear, and that was the ability to manifest it. 

Now, driven by the insatiable thirst for fear, Phobia's heart is a cold void, and his actions reflect the darkness within him. He ventured forth into the shadows, leaving an eerie trail of dread in his wake, and setting the stage for a tale of fear and darkness that would resonate throughout the realms.
