Blinding

Description

Few creatures of the bleed are as deadly or terrifying as the Blinding. They single-mindedly track prey whose eyes reflect the bright light produced by the Blinding's flashing lumin. It's a stalk-like appendage that uses a unique bio-synthesis to create a brilliant flash, visible for miles. Able to zero in with pinpoint accuracy, the Blinding uses sharp spines to attack the eyes of its prey. It injects strong dissolving acids to externally digest the creature. It then consumes the digested remains through a stiff trunk-like proboscis. Their skin is rapidly adaptable and can alter in thickness and texture within seconds. Their hide retains this plasticity to a lesser degree, only when harvested "at rest," which is a nigh impossible feat.

Tendencies

Should a Blinding become enraged or given cause to anger, they will act violently and unpredictably, damaging structures, other creatures, and even other Blindings. They do not seem to have an awareness of others of their kind and are extremely solitary creatures. DO NOT attempt to deal with a Blinding on your own. Remain indoors during unset times, and avoid provoking their interest.
